The Austrian Standards organization is taking a pioneering role by introducing Europe’s first certification for professionals specializing in AI and ethics. Based on Value-based Engineering, as standardized in ISO/IEC/IEEE 24748-7000 standard, this innovative program aims to equip professionals with the tools to guide AI projects responsibly, emphasizing ethical system design and compliance with AI regulations.
The certification program was developed in collaboration with the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) and the Austrian AI consultancy Sophisticated Simplicity. It offers participants the opportunity to earn the title "Certified Value-Based Engineering Ambassador for Ethical IS & AI." The certification combines ethical principles, technical know-how, and the application of Value-Based Engineering to address specific AI use cases in organizations.
